The Nissan Sugarbelt 400, round two of the Absa Off Road Championship, which takes place in the Eston area in KwaZulu Natal on April 23 and 24, has attracted 242 entries.
The Special Vehicle brigade accounts for 66 entries with 34 coming from Class B alone. There are 20 entrants in Class A, seven in Class S and five in Class C.
Thirty-six Production Vehicles have entered for the event with Class D topping the ranks with 18 entries followed by Class E with eleven, Class T with five and Class F with two entries.
The event includes a Regional Championship race for motorcycles and quads and 97 entries have been received from the two-wheel fraternity. Forty-three riders have entered in the Quad category.
The Nissan Sugarbelt 400 offers spectators 25 opportunities to see some of the fastest competition vehicles in South Africa in action in the most extreme dirt conditions. The 35km Prologue starts at noon on Friday, April 23 and the main event gets underway at the Beaumont Eston Farmers Club at 08h00 on Saturday. The first vehicle is expected at the finish at 13h30.
