The Production Car championship is known as a rough battlefield. Not a single race goes by without at least one car suffering some form of damage.
At the recent round of the Super Series held at Zwartkops Ford pilot Shaun Duminy and Gavin Cronje (Mini JCW) had a coming together which sent the former ploughing off the track at over 160 km/h. Duminy made very hard contact with the tyre wall sending his Focus ST into a series of barrel rolls.
In a brief chat with CAR earlier this week Duminy said it was thanks to a car well-built by his team and the good graces of God that he walked away from that incident without a single scratch.
