Gauteng motor sport fans can expect an action-packed day of off-road racing on Saturday, March 29, with the running of the Koepel Club Challenge at Carnival City Casino near Brakpan. –
– A club event for quads, motorcycles and cars, the event will be held within the Carnival City Casino complex over a racing section consisting of three laps of a four-kilometre course. Competitors race in eight classes, including one for juniors, and there will be three heats for each class. The first race, heat one for juniors, starts at 11h15 on Saturday and the final race, for classes A and B, starts at 16h45. Provisional results will be announced at 17h30 and the prize-giving will follow at 18h00.-
– Carnival City Casino proved to be a very popular and successful venue for the final round of the Bankfin Off-Road championship in 2002 and off-road racing fans will remember how well the management of Carnival City Casino catered for them. Spectators will again be well looked after, with plenty of good viewing points, a bring-and-braai area, fast food outlets and refreshments and portable ablution facilities. There is no admission charge.-
