Those crazy tuners from Underground Racing are at it again. The last creation we saw from this US-based twin-turbo specialist was a Lamborghini Aventador capable of sprinting from 0-60 mph (97 km/h) in just 2,2 seconds [here] and now, clearly fond of this famous Italain brand, they’ve gone and built the fastest Gallardo in the world.
With permission from the cars owner to do whatever they liked as long as the end product still drove as a street car, Underground Racing went to work. The end result is a twin-turbo Gallardo Superleggera with a claimed power figure in excess of 1 300 kW at the wheels!
In developing the car UR tested its latest technologies, including an RPS carbon clutch, full billet race differential and Helix Billet 1st -6th gear set and final drive gears.
On the drag strip the Gallardo runs on a set of 18-inch HRE wheels with Hoosier 335/30-18 drag racing tyres.
We think you’ll find that the video below adequately sums up the end result.
