All-new Honda Jazz revealed! Fourth-generation model debuts in Japan…

Honda has taken the wraps off its new Jazz at the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show in Japan, although details are still scarce at this stage.

So, what do we know? Well, the fourth-generation version of the Jazz (which is badged as the “Fit” in its domestic market) will be offered with a two-motor hybrid system that Honda says it developed to deliver “both excellent environmental performance and a comfortable driving experience”. The company has yet to release powertrain specifics.

From the outside, you’ll notice the all-new Jazz features slim A-pillars that facilitate improved forward visibility, without, says the Japanese firm, reducing collision safety performance.

Honda also says the newcomer is its first production model to feature a new-generation “body stabilising seat”. The planar support structure of the pew, says Honda, “stabilises the body and makes long driving less tiring”.

And the rear perches? Well, the flexible so-called “Magic Seat” arrangement is carried over from the previous model, while larger and thicker seat pads back there ostensibly further improve comfort.

Five trim levels will be offered in Japan, each offering unique exterior and interior treatments.
