Facelifted Haval H2 touches down in South Africa: local prices revealed…

By: CAR magazine

The facelifted Haval H2 has arrived in South Africa, with the local range again comprising four variants.

As before, each is powered by a turbocharged 1,5-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine (still sending the front wheels 105 kW and 202 N.m via either a six-speed manual gearbox or six-speed automatic transmission).

The Chinese firm’s updated H2 gains a revised grille, new headlamps (in LED form for Luxury variants) and updated front and rear bumpers. It furthermore features changes to the bonnet and fenders as well as new five-spoke 18-inch alloys.

In addition, all derivatives now boast six airbags as standard (City variant had previously made do with two), while Apple CarPlay has been rolled out across the range, too. Haval SA says a sunroof ships standard regardless of your chosen model, with Luxury variants upgrading to a panoramic item.

Other minor updates include various “upholstery and finishing” tweaks, along with a new gear-shifter design for the automatic models.

Check out pricing below (by our maths, the firm has effectively added R5 000 to the pre-facelift prices). A five-year/100 000 km warranty and a five-year/60 000 km service plan are included.

Pricing:
Haval H2 1,5T City: R269 900
Haval H2 1,5T Luxury: R294 900
Haval H2 1,5T City AT: R304 900
