Hyundai Santa Fe to get an early facelift and switch to new platform…

Hyundai has released a teaser image depicting its updated Santa Fe, while also confirming the large SUV will switch to a new platform.

Judging by the single image that has been released, the Santa Fe will gain an entirely new grille design and fresh daytime running light arrangement.

Although the fourth-generation Santa Fe was introduced as recently as 2018, the Korean firm describes the updated version as the “latest generation” rather than a facelift. It will feature a “dignified and charismatic exterior design”, as well as interior design updates “providing premium sensibility and comfort”, according to Hyundai.

The Santa Fe will be the first Hyundai SUV based on the company’s “all-new” third-generation platform, which it says “allows for significant improvements in performance, handling and safety”, as well as facilitating electrified powertrains.

Hyundai adds the latest model will introduce a “new electrified powertrain line-up”, including hybrid and plug-in hybrid options.
