Jaguar South Africa has confirmed the new F-Pace 300 Sport is scheduled to touch down on local shores in the third quarter of 2019.

The 300 Sport will be offered with a choice of two engines: a turbocharged 2,0-litre four-cylinder petrol unit and a 3,0-litre V6 turbodiesel (both in all-wheel-drive configuration). The petrol engine makes 221 kW and 400 N.m, while the oil-burners offers the same peak power but 700 N.m.

Regardless of preferred engine, the special edition (offered in Yulong White, Indus Silver or Santorini Black) boasts Dark Satin Grey exterior detailing on the grille surround, side-window surrounds, side vents, side-mirror caps and door finishers, as well as the rear valance. You’ll also find “300 Sport” badging on the grille and tailgate.

Inside, you’ll notice yellow contrast stitching on the instrument panel, centre console and leather seats, with the “300 Sport” logo repeated on the treadplates, mats and steering wheel (and also embossed on the front headrests).

A Chequered Flag model (pictured below, and available in Yulong White, Santorini Black or Eiger Grey) will also be offered locally, based on the R-Sport derivative and featuring a sportier front bumper and Gloss Black detailing on the grille, door cladding, side vents and roof rails.

Chequered Flag variants will be offered with a choice of 2,0-litre engines: a 184 kW petrol unit and a pair of diesel mills (132 kW and 177 kW).
