The facelifted Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupé has been revealed, featuring fresh styling, updated driver assistance systems and (like the revised GLC unveiled less than a month before) a new engine line-up.
Up front, you’ll notice the redesigned standard-fit LED headlamps as well as the single-louvre grille. In profile, the sloping roofline remains, while a chrome strip now runs along the high beltline.
Inside, there’s a revised multifunction steering wheel (offered in two versions), while a touchpad on the centre console replaces the rotary dial and the infotainment system boasts larger displays (12,3 inches in the case of the instrument cluster and either seven inches or 10,25 inches in the case of the central display).
The latest generation of the MBUX infotainment system has been added, while “trailer manoeuvring assist” is now included on the list of available driver assistance features.
And the engines? Well, Mercedes-Benz says five 2,0-litre four-cylinder units will be offered at launch (each driving all four wheels), with further engines to be added to the line-up at a later stage. All diesel models meet the requirements of the Euro 6d standard, while the petrol engines are electrified via a 48-volt on-board electrical system (the system the Stuttgart-based firm calls “EQ Boost”).
The GLC 200 offers 145 kW and 320 N.m (plus an additional 10 kW and 150 N.m courtesy of the electric motor), while the GLC300 takes those figures to 190 kW and 370 N.m (plus the same level of electrical boost). The GLC200d, meanwhile, delivers 120 kW and 360 N.m, with the GLC220d offering 143 kW and 400 N.m, and the GLC300d some 180 kW and 500 N.m.
