Renault SA rejigs Duster range, adds new ‘TechRoad’ models…

By: CAR magazine

Renault South Africa has rejigged its five-strong Duster range, replacing the two Dynamique 4×2 variants with a pair of new TechRoad derivatives.

So, what sets the TechRoad models apart? Well, commanding a R5 000 premium over the Dynamique variants they replace, the TechRoad derivatives gain a rear-view camera, 17-inch alloys (with red centre caps), exterior badging (though we can see none on the provided press images) and red trim on the side-mirror caps.

A new “Red Fusion” colour is also offered on this model. Inside, Duster TechRoad models feature new upholstery (complete with red detailing on the seats), red accents on the air-vents (repeated around the gear-lever gaiter) and red elements on the interior door trim.

Power comes from the firm’s familiar 1,5-litre turbodiesel engine, sending 66 kW and 210 N.m to the front wheels in manual form and 80 kW and 250 N.m to the same axle in six-speed dual-clutch guise.

The new derivatives include Renault’s five-year/150 000 km warranty and three-year/45 000 km service plan (with intervals of 15 000 km). Check out pricing below…
