Ahead of its official exhibit at the Busan Motor Show in South Korea, we get to take a peek at the 2024 Kia Seltos Facelift which sports a heavily updated interior and some tweaks on the outside too.
Kia’s subcompact crossover hasn’t been in the market for very long which means it’s abnormal to see it experiencing a mid-cycle update so soon. The competitive nature of the SUV segment means that technology introduced as few as three years ago, which is when the first Seltos arrived, may already be obsolete.
Most of it relates to user interface and interior technology. As such the 2024 Kia Seltos Facelift has a comprehensively updated cabin which boasts a familiar dashboard that now accommodates two 10,25-inch screens fitted into a single bezel and angled towards the driver. A new rotary switch sits beneath the infotainment and updated air conditioner dials which replaces the formerly conventional gear lever.
On the outside, the new Seltos Facelift now has reworked front fascia which includes updated headlights with new LED DRLs feeding into the grille. New fog lights can be found on the flanks of the bumper. The rear gets a full length light bar with the Kia logo being placed in the centre while the red reflectors are placed on the lower part of the bumper and better blend into the black plastic trim. The fake dual exhaust tips have also been done away with for what is a more minimal, clean rear end.
The Korean automaker will go further into detail of the technical specifications when the Seltos Facelift will be on exhibit at the Busan Motor Show in South Korea next month. Since the subcompact model is part of the portfolio in South Africa, we can expect to receive the updated model too.
