As if Koenigsegg, Huayra and Huracan weren’t difficult enough, now we have another tongue-twisting supercar name to contend with. Welcome the Arrinera Hussarya. What you’re looking at is Poland’s first supercar. The car was first shown in concept guise about two years ago, but is now ready for production.
Power for this striking looking car comes from a 485 kW/820N.m 6,2-litre V8 motor, sourced from General Motors, that is mounted behind the cockpit. Power is delivered solely to the rear axle via an automated transmission.
Thanks to lightweight body panels the Hussarya is said to tip the scales at under 1 400 kg. The firm advertise a 0-100 km/h sprint time of 3,2 seconds and a top speed of 340 km/h.
Among the team responsible for its creation is be Lee Noble – of Noble supercar fame – who reportedly helped fettle the suspension for ideal driving dynamics. From Arrinera’s own website: “Lee Noble, a famous British car designer will lend his name to the project. He is currently a member of the supervisory board and a shareholder of Arrinera Automotive S.A. He will be responsible for technical aspects related to the supercar as well as for the design and production of the “rolling chassis”.”
No word yet on whether the Arrinera Hussarya will be imported into SA.
