Underground Street and Sound, an aftermarket and automotive enthusiasts club in Cape Town, is hosting a fundraiser in aid of Jean Lambrecht, a 19-year-old student who was brutally attacked this past weekend by eight men while out clubbing with friends. He is still in a coma.
Lambrecht, a first-year student, has already undergone surgery to remove two clots of blood from his brain, but his condition has not yet improved. His parents don’t have the means to cover the expenses of his hospital stay, but a bunch of his friends and other individuals have called Cape Town’s automotive enthusiasts to support an event this weekend that will hopefully aid the Lambrecht family.
The USAS crew will be meeting on the upper parking deck of the N1 City Mall at 1 pm on Sunday February 3. From there, the assembled cars and enthusiasts will move to Top End Performance in Bellville for a parkoff, Rev Off (R20 to participate) and an afternoon of fun.
CAR spoke to one of Jean’s friends, and he confirmed that Jean is a real petrolhead and also a enthusiastic member of the club.
Donations will also be taken on the day and all proceeds will go to the Lambrecht family.
