Rain sensors and automatic light controls have been included to automatically activate the windscreen wipers and adapt the speed according to the intensity of the rain. Where limited light is available, the vehicle’s lights will automatically be activated, though they can still be operated manually.
One particular safety feature now available across the BMW range is Brake Force Display with additional brake light surfaces being illuminated when excessive force is applied during emergency stops or when ABS is activated.
The BMW Communications Package can be added, which includes a Bluetooth compatible cell phone system that can be operated via the multifunction steering wheel. The package also includes Voice Control for complete hands-free driving and a hi-fi loud speaker system with surround sound speakers.
The Exclusive Package, with features depending on the model, is targeted at the more discerning motorist.
Montana leather trim forms part of the package when ordered on the 318i, 320i and 320d models. The 325i, 330i and 330d models, with standard leather trim, are also fitted with electric front seats with memory function and an electrically operated rear screen roller blind.
