reports that Gran Tourismo (GT) should be launched at the end of the year. It apparently will use the same motor and running gear as the K1200 RS, but has been adjusted to make it more suited for the long road.

The screen is now electrically adjustable and the fairing lowers have been bulked up to provide the rider additional protection in adverse weather conditions.

In addition, the handlebars have been lifted and re-angled to provide a more upright riding position and the more support provided for the adjustable seat.

The total claimed dry weight of the K1200 RS is 281 kg. Partially integrated ABS is standard, as well as a rear rack and colour coded hard bags. “To add a warming touch to the whole package there’s heated grips and seat as standard items as well,” the Canadian website reported.

Options include cruise control and a lower seat (at no additional cost). Available colours will be blue metallic and grey-green metallic.
