Some time we brought you a video of the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6×6. The nutters at German tuning firm Brabus thought that it was a little too tame and created this, the Brabus B63S 6×6.
The 5,5-litre, twin-turbochargedV8 of the “regular”model has been upgraded producing 515 kW (up from 400) at 5 300 r/min, which endows the off-roader – weighing in at around four tons – a sprint time from rest to 100 km/h of just 7,4 seconds. Peak torque is claimed to be 960 N.m. Top speed is limited electronically to 160 km/h due to the off-road tires. The additional power comes in part from uprated internals, larger turbo units and a revised exhaust system all controlled by new software in the ECU
As if the exterior is not striking enough, with a mix of carbon-fibre, matte black and chrome, a fiery red leather/Alcantara interior has been tailored for the behemoth.
Don’t expect to see one of these on the morning school run, and if you do we suggest you get out of the way.
