German automaker, Mercedes-Benz, is reportedly working on an extra, extra-long version of its S-Class sedan that will feature the Pullman name and have a price tag that’s more than double that of a Rolls-Royce Phantom.
To maintain exclusivity, the Pullman treatment will only be given to Merc’s S600 whilst offering the high-status clientele armour protection.
The biggest news, however, is that the new Mercedes Pullman will be built by Mercedes and Smart tuning specialist Brabus.
Suggesting that development of this vehicle is already underway, prototypes of the new Pullman were spotted outside Brabus’ headquarters. Production is expected to start in December 2015.
The Pullman will stretch 6,4 meters in length, making it 40,6 cm longer than the Rolls-Royce Phantom Extended Wheelbase. Occupants will be treated to three rows of seats.
At its current rate, Mercedes-Benz will have an S-Class that can stretch across the globe.
