Meant to rival the recently released Smart Roadster and Citroën Pluriel, the coupe-cabriolet will be fitted with a two-tone electric-hydraulic metal roof with two sections that open and close automatically at the touch of button.
The roof fills the gap between the seats and the boot while still supplying ample space – 250 litres with the roof down, 440 litres with the roof up. Another 70 litres of stowage is available behind the seats and can be accessed from the cabin.
The two-seater is compact with its design cues highly indicative of the new face of Opel with its ‘3D’ ellipsoid headlamps and the crease on its bonnet. Aluminium roll hoops provide added security, and a stylish touch, if the car goes topless. Prominent taillights wrap around the side of the car’s rear to accentuate a chunky bumper.
The interior features bucket seats as standard and a whole array of aluminium-hued instruments to increase its sports appeal.
The 67kW 1,4-litre and 93kW 1,8-litre ECOTEC engines will be offered with a five-speed manual gearbox comes as standard. The sequential-shift Easytronic can be specified with the 1,4-litre derivative.
