Production of the Bugatti Veyron is said to end within the next 12 months. Only around 20 slots are left for the 450-car run of Veyrons. Though the life-cycle of the Veyron may come to an end, a successor is in the works and is said to be more potent than the car it will replace.
Said to continue with a modified version of its quad-turbocharged 8,0-litre W16 engine, the unit will be coupled to some form of hybrid technology. The new car will develop as much as 1 125 kW, eclipsing the Koenigsegg One:1’s 1 005 kW.
Combining the added power with the expected lightweight body construction, the new car should beat the Veyron Super Sport’s world record top speed of 431 km/h.
Like the Veyron, the new car’s production run will also be limited to a 450 cars, and most likely be divided into 300 coupes and 150 roadsters.
The new car, according to Bugatti have to meet its clients’ expectations and that the new car won’t be less exciting than the Veyron.
