It’s just over a week to go before the Johannesburg International Motor Show (JIMS) gets under way and General Motors South Africa will take the opportunity to reveal its Chevrolet Sonic RS.
This five-door hatchback features a 1,4-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces 103 kW of power. This model will separate itself from the rest of the line-up with dark-painted alloy wheels, red interior detailing and the Chevrolet MyLink infotainment system.
“The RS badge forms the first level of performance-oriented nomenclature within the model naming hierarchy at Chevrolet, making the Sonic RS a very special car indeed. It will certainly add some interesting flavour to the Sonic product portfolio in South Africa next year,” says Chevrolet brand manager, Tim Hendon.
We should see the RS in South Africa in the first quarter of 2014.
