Citroën’s racing department has laid its hands on the company’s DS4 and after some fettling, the French marque is now getting ready to reveal its DS4 Racing Concept at the Geneva Show next month.
Under the bonnet is an uprated version of the 1,6-litre THP turbo engine that currently does service in the DS4. This unit has a peak power output of 190 kW and an emissions figure of 155 g/km of CO2.
Cosmetically, the DS4 Racing gains a sports air diffuser, a front bumper panel, a lower-body belt line, wing extensions and 19-inch wheels with a special DS4 Racing design. The DS4 Racing Concept is finished in a matte grey paint and has a two-tone roof.
Measurement differences between the regular DS4 and the Racing version include a lower ride height (dropped by 35 mm from the standard car) and widened front and rear tracks (by 55- and 75 mm respectively).
The DS4 Racing makes its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show, which kicks off March 8. Stay tuned to CARmag.co.za for more updates.
