The all-new Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupé hasn’t even been allowed breathing space because German tuning giant Brabus already has already developed an extensive tuning programme for the new ‘Benz, though in an uncharacteristic move, Brabus has opted not to modify the line-up’s engines to insane levels…

Whereas specials like modified SUVs and supercar-eating saloons are the kind of tarmac-rippling products we’ve come to expect from the Bottrop-based firm, the tuning package for the E-Class Coupé is a decidedly more sensible approach to everyday motoring.
Don’t let that fool you though, because Brabus still tweaked the range-topping 5,4-litre V8 in the E500 to produce 340 kW and 615 N.m of torque at 3 100 r/min (up from 285 kW and 530 N.m) by stretching its capacity to 6,1-litres and fitting custom camshafts, as well as a Brabus sport exhaust system with high-performance metal catalysts and new engine control electronics. The Brabus-tuned E500 Coupé should sprint to 100 km/h from standstill in 4,7 seconds and manage a top speed of 315 km/h.
But that’s not all, because Brabus also offers performance tuning for the diesel-fuelled models. Thanks to the “ECO PowerXtra” kit, the E250 CDI BlueEfficiency now enjoys 173 kW and 560 N.m of torque, while the V6-powered E350 CDI produces 200 kW and 590 N.m of torque.
To appease tuner-image loyalists, the performance package for the E-Class includes a sporty aerodynamic-enhancement package that employs a new front spoiler with integrated LED daytime running lights, and new side skirts with LED entrance lights fitted underneath. The appearance is completed with Brabus Monoblock light-alloy wheels in 17, 18, 19 or 20-inches – wrapped in a choice of Yokohama or Pirelli rubber.
The utmost comfort/sport compromise is needed to ensure the E-Class Coupé’s ride as an all-rounder, so the available suspension options were custom-developed for the car – starting with just lowering springs all the way through to a complete height-adjustable coil-over sport suspension. Brabus high-performance brakes do a sterling job of stopping the E- Coupé, with six-piston aluminium calipers that retard 360 mm ventilated discs up front. Four piston calipers do duty at the rear axle.
Naturally, Brabus offers customization of the interior limited only by the customer’s budget. The list of interior options include niceties such as stainless-steel scuff plates with illuminated Brabus logo, an ergonomically-shaped Brabus sport steering wheel and an entirely new interior crafted swathed in Brabus Mastik leather and Alcantara.
