The Aston Martin DB5 that featured in the 1960s Bond movie Goldfinger has been voted the coolest car of all time. Do you agree?
The sportscar came out number one in a list of the 100 most cool cars in the October edition of Top Gear magazine.
The DB5 was used in the movie Goldfinger. “The suit, the drink and, of course, Pussy Galore: even without the silver DB5 parked there behind him on Erno Goldfinger’s driveway, Bond would always come out on top. Goldfinger made Bond and it probably made Aston Martin too,” said Top Gear.
Land Rover Defender took second place. “Pitch up in a Defender and you could be a farmer, a banker, a greengrocer, or the Queen, and no one will question your choice of wheels,” said the magazine.
The Smart Roadster was third followed by the Audi RS6.
Top Gear also selected the least cool cars of all time. The Rover 25 Streetwise took this title. The magazine commented: “Say it out loud: ‘Rover, Streetwise’. Doesn’t work, does it? Sorry Rover, who are you trying to kid?”
