Dodge’s unremarkable Journey seven-seat MPV has been overhauled for 2012, which should see it gain favour with more buyers than before.
Externally, the Journey receives a more aggressive front bumper design, dual exhaust outlets and LED taillamps. New colours have also been introduced.
The cabin gains a new soft-touch centre console, larger central stowage bin with USB/MP3 inputs, additional sound-deadening materials, keyless entry and drive-away, three-zone climate control and an optional touchscreen multimedia system that integrates sat-nav and voice-operated music storage.
The 2,7-litre V6 petrol and 2,0-litre turbodiesel make way for the new V6 that delivers a stout 206 kW at 6 400 r/min and 353 N.m of torque at 4 400 r/min, mated with a six-speed automatic transmission. Lastly, the manufacturer says it has completely redesigned the suspension, but hasn’t divulged details.
