My car is a 2010 Hyundai Atos 1,1 GLS. Every day, I drive to work on gravel roads at around 20 km/h and use mainly second and third gears owing to the state of the road. Can this in any way harm the engine?

Answer: Driving at such low speeds is not ideal for engine cooling (owing to little wind flow over the radiator) or fuel consumption, but manufacturers do test for such conditions in their durability programmes. Therefore, as long as the engine is not labouring or revving excessively, you should be fine.
