Jeep has introduced a new limited edition Jeep Cherokee Extreme Sport to South Africa. With only 150 units available, DCSA expects these to be snapped up in no time at all.

The Cherokee Sport's 3,7-litre V6 powerplant has been transplanted into this offering from Jeep, while the exterior has been reworked. Fog lamps, graphite bumpers at the front and the rear with matching side mouldings, body-coloured wheel arches and 16-inch graphite alloy wheels complete the look.

On the inside, the instrument cluster has been replaced with the one used in the Limited Edition Cherokee and an aluminium centre console has been added. The leather-clad steering wheel has speed controls for added ergonomics.

Trent Barcroft, Chysler andJeep divisional manager, says that with this model, "Jeep Cherokee continues to satisfy a broad range of needs in the mid-size SUV market."

This Jeep derivative is available only in black and silver and comes with a three year/60 000km service plan. The Jeep Cherokee Sports Extreme sells for R291 100.
