Let’s be honest, the 2012 Formula One season was all the better for the return of Kimi Räikkönen to the sport. The Iceman kept us on the edge of our seats while mixing it up with the big points at the front of the grid and made us smile with some of his irreverence towards those around him (including his race engineer).
At the recent Brazilian GP, Räikkönen, after running wide off the track, attempted to rejoin the race via an escape route he had used a few years back. This year, though, his attempted recovery was thwarted by a closed gate, forcing him to do a u-turn and head back the way he came.
