General Motors South Africa recently named Meyers East London, Ferndale Motors in Cape Town, Jackson’s in Queenstown and General Lydenburg as its best dealers of 2004.
General Motors South Africa recently lauded Meyer’s East London, Ferndale Motors in Cape Town, Jackson’s in Queenstown and General Lydenburg as its best dealers of 2004.
Now in its fifteenth year, the programme awards outstanding dealer performance in several categories, including customer service index, sales and “franchise standards”.
Malcolm Gauld, GMSA director of sales and marketing said: “Ultimately to the benefit of our customers, the Honours Programme encourages high levels of professionalism and service across our retail network.”
In the “major” category, Meyer’s East London was announced the retailer of the year after selling a record number of Opels and Isuzus in 2004. Ferndale Motors in Cape Town was awarded top honours in the medium retailer category, while Jackson’s in Queenstown was voted as the retailer of the year in the “small” category for the seventh time in 11 years.
General Lydenburg was announced the retailer of the year in the rural category. After selling 684 Opels and 352 Isuzus in 2004, Key Pinetown headed the volume category for the twelfth year running.
