The double WRC champion topped the timesheets on Thursday’s pre-rally stage ahead of Subaru’s Petter Solberg and Mitsubishi’s Gigi Galli.
Harri Rovanpera (Mitsubishi) was fourth fastest and returning champion Carlos Sainz posted the sixth-fastest time in his first competitive run back behind the wheel of the Citroën.
Current WRC champion Sebastien Loeb could only manage eighth spot behind two Subarus, including privateer Daniel Carlsson.
Thursday’s opening SS1 through the grounds of the Antalya University has been cancelled and the event will start instead with SS2, on Friday morning local time.
