As the Paris Motor Show is about to kick off more manufacturers will be releasing info on models that will debut in France later this week. Honda has just let these images of a facelifted CR-V slide onto the internet.
The front end is far sleeker and more reminiscent of its US counterpart. There are revised headlamps, bumper, more upmarket-looking LEDs at the front, while the rear boasts more chrome detailing.
More notable the is a new powertrain under the bonnet. Currently the sole diesel-powered derivative features a 2,2-litre turbocharged motor that produces 110 kW and 350 N.m mated with a five-speed automatic transmission. A new 1,6 i-DTEC motor is said to develop 118 kW and the same level of torque as the larger engine. In an effort to further reduce fuel consumption the new engine is coupled with a newly developed nine-speed automatic transmission.
Honda SA confirmed that a revised CRV model will be introduced in January next year, but did not confirm the new powertrain offering.
