Delta Motor Corporation has introduced two “high-riding” models, the KB 200 and KB 250 Fleetside, to its baseline Isuzu workhorse line-up.
“Recently there has been an increased call for a workhorse pick-up that shares the high-ride feature of more expensive vehicles in the Isuzu range,” said Delta Director of Sales and Marketing Malcolm Gauld.
“Fleet customers, especially those in the construction industry, and buyers in the agricultural sector, have expressed a need for a utility specification pick-up that offers a high ground clearance without the expense and complication of a full blown 4×4 utility vehicle.
“The high-ride feature offers an increased level of protection from underside damage in applications where high middle-mannetjies, rocks or other rougher than usual working conditions are routinely encountered. These are typical of conditions found in construction, municipal services, and agricultural applications,” he added.
The new Isuzu KB Fleetside models are based on the current Isuzu KB 200 and Isuzu KB 250 long wheelbase derivatives but feature a ride height that is increased by 30 mm to 210 mm.
“A full width rear bumper with integrated step, tow hitch, and wiring plug connector and 15-inch steel wheels fitted with 215R15 commercial radial tyres are fitted,” added Gauld.
They are covered by a three year/100 000 kilometre warranty.
The KB 200 Fleetside costs R134 052 and KB 250 Fleetside R151 061.
