Well, this is awkward… looking.
It’s no secret that Jaguar is developing a luxury sports SUV. The Indian-owned British firm has already shown concept models of the C-X17 and many believe the production model will resemble it closely.
This test mule that was spotted out in public will come as a bit of a surprise, well over and above the fact that Land Rover’s sister company will produce an SUV that could rival the Range Rover Sport.
In all likelihood the proper SUV underpinnings – supposedly a variation of what will form the basis of the next generation Discovery – lie underneath a heavily revised XF body. Hopefully the finished product will bear a closer resemblance to the C-X17 show car rather than this particular example…
