On another of his now-infamous drinking sprees, the McLaren driver and his friends racked up a bill of nearly R42 000 on beverages and exotic dancers at the club. However, the Iceman’s reaction to the show was so distasteful that several customers and club staff members were left dumbstruck.
Called to assist with the situation, the club’s manager realised that the married Finnish driver was displaying his enjoyment rather too much.
“I thought I had seen most things in the lap dancing game, until I saw one of the world’s top racing drivers sprawled there with his trousers undone,” the club’s manager said. “I couldn’t believe it, Kimi’s hand was there on his crotch with his trousers undone and his body exposed.”
“I sent away the two girls and managed to get his group downstairs. He was drunk as a skunk and didn’t care who saw what was going on,” the manager continued.
While Räikkönen’s manager Steve Robertson denied knowledge of the incident, there is no doubt his F1 team is hoping that this and similar incidents don’t have a negative effect on the driver’s performance after a dismal showing in last year’s championship.
