This year’s Knysna Speed Festival had one day set aside for pre-1974 cars to strut their stuff in a display at the Knysna Waterfront and also to try to best the Simola Hill, which formed the course for the Renaut Simola Hillclimb later that weekend. There was a decent showing of old-school racers…
Despite the inclement weather, enthusiasts braved the conditions to spectate and compete. The assortment of cars was a real mismatch of the classic world, with everything from a Bentley Blower to an Austin Mini Cooper BMW, and Porsche 356A to a “Red Pig “Mercedes 300 SEL AMG in attendance to vie fort the title of Classic Conqueror.
