The Knysna Speed Festival’s main attraction, the Renault Simola Hillclimb, continued to cement its position as one of South Africa’s premier motorsport events last weekend as some of SA’s most powerful and fastest cars took to the famous Simola Hill to battle for the title of “King of the Hill.”
This year’s event was a triumph for the GT-R badge – with the “Beasts from the East” claiming the first seven places out of the top ten. Despite the Nissan white-wash, this event was just as diverse as the classic category and was graced with names such as Ferrari, Porsche, Jaguar, McLaren, Ariel and Lamborghini amongst the mighty “Godzillas”.
