Images of what’s believed to be the open-top version of Lamborghini’s radical Veneno supercar have emerged online ahead of an official unveiling due to take place within the next few weeks.
The images look official enough and confirm that lopping off the Veneno’s roof has done little to dilute its almost otherworldly styling.
Like its coupe sibling, the Lamborghini Veneno Roadster will be a limited-run model with just nine examples slated for production.
The Roadster will be powered by an Aventador-derived 6,5-litre V12 engine developing 552 kW. Mated with a seven-speed ISR robotised gearbox, this unit will reportedly propel the Roadster from standstill to 100 km/h in 2,8 seconds while the 350 km/h top speed is just 4 km/h shy of the coupe’s.
