Nissan SA has added a limited edition version to its X-Trail – which was the top selling SUV in South Africa in September, it was announced on Thursday.
There will be limited edition derivatives of the six-speed 2,2-litre turbo-diesel and both the manual and automatic 2,5-litre petrol X-Trail derivatives. The limited edition models are differentiated from their siblings by a rear spoiler, a rubber boot liner and two-tone stone and charcoal combination.
About 3000 X-Trails have been retailed since the range was launched in October 2001. Features such as the double-sized sunroof and six-CD shuttle fitted to the higher-specced derivatives have been popular and in February, a 4×2 version was added to the range.
The limited edition X-Trail reached showroom floors at the end of September, priced at R292 970 for the 2,2 diesel, R282 950 for the 2,5 petrol with manual transmission and R292 990 for the 2,5 petrol with automatic configuration.
Only 600 units will be available in this specification, Nissan SA said.
