Citroën will showcase its latest concept car, the C-Airlounge, at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. It features mood changing interior lighting.
It’s a low-slung, curvaceous five-door car. According to the French manufacturer, the dynamic shape and careful attention to airflow gives the aerodynamic C-Airlounge concept a drag coefficient of just 0,26.
It has a modular seating system that can accommodate either four or five occupants. Passengers can select the mood of lighting thanks to fibre-optics and video projectors in the carpets and armrests.
“Underneath the curvaceous body is a dramatic, but also rather intelligent approach to interior design,” says Citroën.
Some of its styling cues are expected to show up in other new Citroën models. This concept may lead to the production of a larger luxury car, which is likely to be called the C6.
More details will be given at Frankfurt in September.
