Mazda South Africa has announced that the maintenance plan on the new Mazda6 has been extended to five years or 100 000 km.
“While we completed a local study, we initially announced that the Mazda6’s maintenance plan would cover a period of five years or 60 000 km, whichever came first,” said Rob Crouse, Mazda marketing manager. “However, in collaboration with Mazda Japan and our customer services division, it was decided that we could quite comfortably extend the Mazda6’s Maintenance Plan to a five-year/100 000km period without increasing the price.
“We are introducing this value-adding amendment under the banner of the MazdaMotion value-added package. Where a previously-owned Mazda6 is resold, the MazdaMotion Maintenance Plan is transferable to the new owner of the vehicle for the remainder of the plan period or kilometres, whichever occurs first,” said Crouse.
The MazdaMotion package includes a maintenance plan, scheduled service plans, fleet maintenance plans, roadside assistance, extended warranty plans, approved body repair centres plus service pick-up and drop-off.
The new Mazda6 is available with either a 2,0-litre or 2,3-litre engine fitted to a four-model saloon range, the Mazda6 2,0 Elegant five-speed manual, the Mazda6 2,3 Sporty five-speed manual, the Mazda6 2,3 Sporty Lux 5-speed manual and the Mazda6 2,3 Sporty Lux four-speed Activematic (automatic).
