Maserati not only plans to reveal the new Quattroporte über-saloon at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show, but also the ultimate expression of its GranTurismo 2+2 coupe, the MC Stradale – which has been inspired by the motorsports version participating in the Trofeo Championship.
Among the new model’s exterior highlights are a carbon-fibre bonnet, 20-inch alloy wheels, as well as plenty of functional scoops and vents too keep air flowing to where it’s needed most. Speaking of functional, that’s exactly what designers had in mind with this model – which is why the new Gran Turismo MC Stradale now seats four people.
The four-seater MC Stradale also boasts the same 4,7-litre normally aspirated V8 motor that does service in the rest of the GranTurismo range. This unit produces 330 kW and 550 N.m of torque and is mated with an MC “Race Shift” six-speed automated transmission, which should allow for a sub-five second 0-100 km/h sprint and a top speed in excess of 300 km/h.
