Surely the boffins in charge of a grand prix team have to have a pretty high level of intelligence? Finding loopholes in the rules provided by the FIA must need a high level of brainpower. Not to mention the complicated race strategies involving tyre wear and manipulating fuel loads…
I wasn’t going to comment on Lewis Hamilton’s disqualification from the Australian Grand Prix as the facts speak for themselves.
But, after the suspension of sporting director Dave Ryan, the man who apparently instructed Lewis to tell the the stewards that he had not slowed to allow Jarno Trulli past, I just have to add my tuppence worth.
And no, I’m not going to call Hamilton a liar.
I’m simply going to point out the utter stupidity of his denying that he moved over to let Trulli through when the instruction was given, plain and for all to hear, on the radio.
Surely the pair should have considered the fact that the FIA has access to all the radio transmissions.
A bit like sending your wife down to the copy shop to print out Ferrari blueprints, if you ask me…
