The Daytona Group, McLaren’s official South African distributor, will probably have one of the most crowded stands at this year’s Johannesburg International Motor Show as the luxury car importer shows off a mixture of highly sought-after prestige and performance models, including the McLaren MP4-12C.
The 441 kW, 600 N.m McLaren supercar will make its first full public showing in South Africa at its stand in Hall 6 of the NASREC Exhibition Centre, while stands in Hall 10 will play host to offerings from Aston Martin and Rolls-Royce.
The full range of Aston Martin models will be present, including the Rapide, DBS and V8 Vantage, but the new Virage is likely to be the main attraction. The Rolls-Royce stand will showcase its well-known Phantom as well as the company’s new “compact” model, the Ghost.
Daytona will also use its display in Hall 10 to show off its range of pre-owned models, which encompasess such marques as Ferrari, Porsche, Bentley and Lamborghini, as well as Aston Martin and Rolls-Royce and will have consultants on hand to assist those with an interest in investing in a set of dream wheels.
