Peugeot has created what it believes is the “ultimate performance saloon”. The carbon fibre 407 Silhouette is also completely track friendly.

Constructed almost entirely of carbon fibre, the suspension is fully adjustable and can be lowered by up to 4cm for use on the track.

Fitted with a naturally aspirated 3,0-litre V6 engine capable of producing 230kW, power is supplied to the wheels by a manual six-speed gearbox that is sequentially controlled. Dual wishbone suspension at the front and rear and adjustable anti-roll bars ensure increased safety at mind-numbing speeds.

Ventilated front and rear brakes facilitate stopping power, while the 19-inch wheels ensure the Silhouette remains on the road.

The two-seater, with its tubular chassis and mid-mounted longitudinal powertrain, is – at 4,69 metres long and 1,9 metres wide – slightly longer than its production sibling.

On the inside, the facia, centre console and door panels have been borrowed from the production saloon while the very sporting theme on the exterior is continued in the interior with racy red and black trim.
