The Daytona Group, the official importer of Aston Martin sportscars, has confirmed that the new DB9 and its convertible version, the DB9 Volante have arrived in South Africa.
The new model features around 60 per cent new panels, while power delivery has also improved. The 6,0-litre V12 engine now delivers 380 kW and 620 N.m of torque, up from 350 kW and 600 N.m respectively.
Although power delivery has gone up, CO2 emissions have decreased to 333 g/km. The acceleration time from standstill to 100 km/h has dropped to 4,6 seconds.
Other notable improvements include a stiffer body structure. This has been achieved courtesy of updated engine bay struts and stronger under-body panels with a 20 per cent improvement in chassis stiffness.
