Audi hasn’t unveiled the new Audi A3 yet, but during the Consumers Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, the company showed off the car’s updated interior.
A significant amount of the interior is built around the info-tainment system. This MMI system has received several updates, which includes the control panel, made up of the larger main knob as well as a touchpad. With this new system, the driver will also be able to access social networks such as Twitter and Facebook, while the GPS system will make use of Google Earth, technology that Audi first showcased in its current A8 flagship saloon.
The updates through the rest of the cabin are pretty obvious. There is a seven-inch pop-up screen that forms part of the MMI system while two rows of buttons are situated below the newly designed air vents.
Readers that have experienced the upmarket A1 hatchback will definitely notice the resemblances to the new A3.
Expect the new A3 in South Africa by the end of this year.
