Set to debut at the upcoming Geneva motor show, intial leaked images have spurred Volkswagen to reveal these official photographs of the facelifted Tiguan. The smaller of VW's two SUV offerings – alongside the Touareg – now boasts the company's corporate identity, front and rear.
The face sports U-shaped LED highlights that frame the main beams and fine detailing on the lower edges of the headlamps. At the rear all-new tail-lamps are very close in design to those found on its bigger brother.
Although no further details have been released, expect the powetrain and trim offerings to remain largely unchanged.
Since its launch in 2007 the Tiguan has risen to become one the most popular offerings in its segment. A total of over 570 000 models have been sold globally. VW claims that its average market share in the German market's compact SUV segment grew to about 21 per cent in the year 2010, and across Europe it was 12 percent.
