Kia has released a brace of images and a video previewing the third-generation Kia Sorento ahead of its official unveiling late next month.
From what we can gather from the teaser images and footage the 2015 Kia Sorento looks like a considerably sleeker and sportier proposition than its utilitarian predecessor with prominent wheel arches, a deep front valance and a strong swage line running along the flanks.
The rear integrates slick-looking, narrow taillamps and a compact roof spoiler crowning a slightly canted roofline.
The overall silhouette is more gracile will likely feature a wheelbase extended from that of the current model, strongly suggesting a seven-seater body shape.
Early reports suggest that the current engine line-up will be carried over to the 2015 Kia Sorento, but there are rumours of a hybrid powerplant comprising 2,3-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine linked to an electric motor fed by a 47 kWh battery.
The official unveiling will take place in Korea towards the end of August at which time further details regarding on-sale dates will emerge.
