Audi will be showing a healthy number of facelifted models at the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show. The latest to join the fray is the Audi A1 and the A1 Sportback.
As expected, the front bumper, grille and headlights have been updated, while new exterior colours are also available. Inside buyers will find the latest incarnation of the company’s MMI infotainment system.
In terms of the drivetrain there are several updates though. Apart from the usual 1,4-litre turbocharged engine which will still be available in several power configurations, Audi will also offer new 3-cylinder diesel en petrol engines. The 1,0-litre unit will deliver 70 kW, while the 3-cylinder, 1,4-litre turbodiesel delivers 66 kW.
Expect the new range to be introduced during the first quarter of next year.
The Audi S1 also receives this nip and tuck. Powering all four wheels is a 2,0-litre TFSI delivering 170 kW and 370 Nm. Audi promises that the three-door S1 will hit 100 km/h in 5,8 seconds before topping out at 250 km/h.
The local launch of the new S1 takes place during the first week of December. Check back soon for a full driving impression.
