Audi SA has revealed local pricing and specification for the new A3 3-door. This model has its official launch on 14 and 15 November, but order books are already open.
The manufacturer will initially offer seven variants with four engine options, two transmissions and two drivetrain setups.
The range kicks off with the 77 kW/175 N.m 1,2T FSI at R267 000. For a scant R7 500 extra (at R274 500), you could have the 90 kW/200 N.m 1,4T FSI. This version is also available with an S tronic dual-clutch transmission at R291 500.
The range-topping 1,8T FSI is available in two states of tune. The front-wheel-drive models boasts 132 kW and 250 N.m, and costs R305 000 when equipped with a six-speed manual gearbox and R322 000 with the seven-speed S tronic. A Quattro version has 30 N.m more and is available only with S tronic. This model retails for R351 500.
Until the arrival of the 2,0 TDI, just one diesel model will be offered. The 1,6 TDI delivers 77 kW and 250 N.m of torque, and comes only with the S tronic transmission. It sells for R302 500.
All versions have a five-year/100 000 km maintenance plan.
