Not even a week after we first laid eyes on the 2015 R8, Audi’s released a single image of its second-generation supercar that will debut at next month’s Geneva Motor Show.
The teaser pic actually reveals little more than the front left corner, allowing us a look at the overall shape of the headlamp, the new gills on the intake just beneath, and the design of the R8’s alloy wheels. The characteristic side blade of the first R8 is not clearly evident under the sheet…
The 2015 R8 will come with a laser/LED headlamp combination. The LEDs will support the daytime running light and standard beam functions, while the optional laser module will power the high beams. The system was first featured on the extremely limited R8 LMX, and is similar to the unit used on Audi’s Le Mans Prototypes.
